Quote of the Week:
"Poetry is eternal graffiti written in the heart of everyone." — Lawrence Ferlinghetti
Poetry isn’t just words on a page—it’s the mark we leave on the world, a trace of our soul etched into time. It’s the graffiti of our hearts, eternal and unforgotten, speaking across generations and landscapes. Lawrence Ferlinghetti was right: poetry isn’t just written, it’s lived.
Currently Listening:
“Give it to Me” by HOMESHAKE
This song is like a late-night confession whispered into the dark—aching, vulnerable, and drenched in longing. It’s the kind of song that speaks to the raw desire to be understood, to be let in, to feel something real. A plea not just for love, but for closeness in a world that can feel impossibly distant.

Man’s Search for Meaning is not just a book—it’s a quiet, powerful reminder that even in our darkest moments, we still have the power to choose how we carry our pain. Frankl’s words feel like a lantern in the night, teaching us that meaning isn’t found, it’s made—in love, in suffering, in the courage to go on.
Inspired By:
Wild Nights – Wild Nights! by Emily Dickinson is a storm of longing and liberation. In just a few lines, she captures the wildness of passion, the ache of desire, and the fearless surrender to love’s tempest. It reminds us that to feel deeply is to live fully—and that the heart, when unmoored, finds its truest compass.

There’s something haunting and human about the way scent can unlock a past we never asked to remember. This poem drifts through that idea like smoke—soft, sharp, and hard to hold. Healing sometimes means unlearning the perfume of pain, and making peace with the ones who will never say sorry. Check out @scripted_heartbeats on Instagram!

As the week folds into the quiet of evening, I leave you with this: keep chasing the things that set your soul on fire. Stay curious. Stay kind. And never forget, somewhere in the shadows, someone is rooting for your light. Until next time—stay wild, stay poetic.
Love from the shadows ✨

I love the first quote about poetry you shared in this post. There's something about writing and consuming poetry in particular that feels almost spiritual compared to all other forms of writing, your selected quote articulates that perfectly.
Also, a man's search for meaning was incredibly enlightening, I (re)learned a great deal about history and many parts resonated with me. I listened to it as an audiobook recently. I hope to thrift a copy to take extensive notes in for my next read. It's one I plan to go back to often.
