Quote of the Week:
"It is not in the stars to hold our destiny but in ourselves." — William Shakespeare
It’s not the stars that decide who we become—it’s the fire we choose to light inside ourselves. Fate is not written above us. It’s written in the quiet moments, in the bold choices, in the hearts brave enough to believe they can change everything.

“Love Interruption” by Jack White
Some loves don't whisper. They roar. They tear through you like a storm, break your bones just to see how you’ll rebuild them. It’s not gentle. It’s not soft. It’s war disguised as longing. But even in the wreckage, we rise saying—
I won’t let love ruin me. Not this time. Not like that.

Inspired By:
There’s something about the way Cy Twombly paints that feels like a secret being whispered. His chaotic scrawls and unfinished lines remind us that beauty doesn’t need to be neat to be true. He teaches us that emotion can live in the mess—that art, like love, is sometimes most powerful when it’s raw, wild, and unapologetically imperfect.
Writing Tips You Won’t Find in a Textbook:
Writing is not about rules—it’s about resonance. It’s about chasing the feeling that stirs beneath the surface of language, the whisper in your chest that says yes, that’s it. Below are a few not-so-obvious tips for writers who want to dig a little deeper—not into form, but into fire.
1. Write the parts you’re afraid to share.
That’s where the truth lives. If a line makes your hands shake, it’s probably the one your reader needed.2. Start with the last sentence.
If you know how it ends, you’ll write toward it with purpose—and sometimes that final line is where the soul of the piece is hiding.3. Write like a painter.
Use texture, color, and contrast. Don’t just describe what happened—show us what it felt like.4. Stop mid-sentence.
When you’re in the flow, stop just before you’re finished. It gives your subconscious something to chew on—and makes it easier to return the next day.
At the end of the day, your voice is the most valuable tool you have. Protect it. Nurture it. And above all—use it.

There’s something haunting and beautiful in this one—how it captures both the purity of beginnings and the quiet burn of love. Falling like a snowflake into someone’s fire… it’s the perfect metaphor for what it means to trust, to love, and to be changed by both. To the poet who sent this in—thank you for the burn. but more afraid of never flying. 🕊
For the dreamers, the risk-takers, the poets who leap even when their hands shake—this one’s for you.
A short quote from Love Her Wild ✨
What I’m Reading: Eat to Love
My dear friend Mik wrote a book for the ones who nourish with intention and cook with heart - for your table, your body, your people. If you believe food is poetry too, you’ll fall in love with "Eat With Love". Her book launches 6/3 but is available for pre-order now - please take a moment to spark your senses.
Until next time, keep chasing the things that light your soul on fire—words, dreams, the people who make you feel something real. I’ll be here, in the shadows, writing for us both.
Love from the edge of the page,
xx
